Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola

The Centre’s Chapel (Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola) is a place of pray and concentration.

On 1 June 2007, Archbishop Sigitas Tamkevičius S.J. sanctified the Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola of the then Kaunas Vocation Training Centre for Services Business Specialists (currently – the King Mindaugas Vocational Training Centre). On this occasion, the Holy Mass was also held by Bishop Juozapas Preikštas and priest Gintaras Vitkus S.J.

The Holy Mass is celebrated once a week – on Thursdays, at 12:00. All members of the community are invited to join: students, teachers, administration personnel. During the Mass, the students read texts, sing and carry sacrifices. Everyone is provided with an opportunity for a confession, receive sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Each day, at 08:30, the hour of concentration takes place in the Chapel, and everyone is invited to join.

After opening the Chapel, the Centre’s community gained a stronger perception of the importance of Christian values and the proximity to God.
